On Tuesday Mr E and I took our first ever trip to the fabled Ardingly Antiques and Collectors Fair. I had read about it on so many blogs that I persuaded Mr E to book a day off work so we could go and see for ourselves and we weren’t disappointed. It took us an hour to stop marvelling at how big it was; we must have looked like complete novices. The stalls go on and on, lining marquees and spilling out of transit vans:
We showed remarkable restraint with our purchases – a pretty christmas card, some illustrated bird cards, a small table and a brooch – but we spent four hours there. If you like the variety of antique and vintage and get the chance to go, I would heartily recommend it.
