The highlight of the little trip that Mr E and I took recently was undoubtedly our day out at the Weald & Downland Museum. It’s an amazing collection of traditional buildings that tells the story of over 600 years of rural life in this part of the world. We’d wanted to visit for a while now, so the fact that the cold weather meant we had the place pretty much to ourselves was an unexpected bonus.
Mr E took some lovely photos of the buildings:
But I think my favourite bit was a tour of the collections; thousands of objects from domestic rural life, gathered together to explain this particular past to future generations.
